Forty British cheeses.
Cut to order.
Crusty bread to match.
An independent cheesemonger on the corner of Paddington Street. Forty farmhouse cheeses kept in our cave, six Continental classics, and a loaf from the baker round the back.
This Month's Cheeses
Eight pieces we're especially pleased with. The full board is forty-strong — drop in to taste what's ripe today.

A monthly board, chosen by us, delivered to your door.
We pick what's ripest, what's rare, what's landed from the farm that week — and pack it with chutney, oatcakes and a tasting note from the counter. Pause or skip a month any time.

Saturdays at the counter.
Six cheeses, paired drinks, an hour and a half. Small group, ten places, £35 a head. Book ahead — Saturdays sell out a fortnight in advance.

A small shop with a proper cave underneath.
We opened on Paddington Street in 2017 with one idea — that London ought to have more counters where someone actually knows the cheese they're selling. Forty British farmhouse cheeses, kept in a temperature-controlled cave below the shop, turned and graded every week. Six Continental classics on rotation. Crusty bread from the baker round the back, baked the morning we sell it.
We're an AOC-certified cheesemonger, which means we've sat the exams and we know our Stiltons from our Stichetons. More usefully, it means we'll cut a small piece for you to try before you buy a whole wedge. Always have done.

“The only cheesemonger in London who'll happily spend twenty minutes finding the right Cheddar for a single dinner party. We've been coming for years and it's never once felt like a transaction.”
