Granite Drives is a small Surrey-based outfit run by Tom Granger and his brother Sam. Between them they've laid driveways across Guildford, Woking, Reigate and Dorking for the best part of fifteen years.
We don't cut corners on the bit nobody sees — the sub-base. Most drives that crack or sink within a couple of years failed underneath, not on top. Ours don't.

Resin-bound
Smooth, seamless and permeable. Comes in a dozen aggregate blends — from silver granite to autumn gold.
Block paving
Traditional, hard-wearing and easy to repair. Marshalls Drivesett, Tegula, Argent — laid to last.
Natural stone
Yorkstone, granite setts, sandstone. The premium option for period homes and country properties.
Permeable systems
SUDS-compliant drainage built in. No planning application needed, even on full re-laid drives.
Built to handle British weather.
Since 2008, any new driveway over 5m² that drains onto the street needs planning permission — unless it's built to SUDS standards. Every drive we lay is.
Resin-bound is permeable by design. Block and stone we lay over a permeable sub-base with channel drains or a soakaway crate. No puddles. No paperwork.

Most drives take 5-9 working days from breaking ground to handover. Same two-man team start to finish — no subcontractors turning up halfway through.

Excavate & sub-base
Out goes the old drive. In goes a proper Type 1 sub-base, compacted in layers.

Walk it through
We tidy up, walk the drive with you, and you don't pay the balance until you're happy.

Indian sandstone patios, porcelain terraces, gravel paths, stepping stones, garden walling. Most front-drive jobs end up with a bit of back-garden work tagged on — we'll quote it together so it works out cheaper than two trades.
