Outdoor Plants
Perennials, shrubs and trees — raised in our own glasshouses, ready for the British weather.
Five acres of glasshouse and outdoor nursery just outside Winchester. Three generations of the same family, and a kettle on from the moment we open.
Stock changes with the seasons. We grow most of our perennials and shrubs here on-site — pop in and have a wander.

Hardy annuals, vegetables, sweet peas and a wall of spring bulbs every autumn.
Peat-free composts, decent secateurs, watering cans, the lot. No filler.
Teak benches, cast iron tables, a few hammocks. Built to leave outside.
Velvety purple flowers from May right through to the first frost. Loved by bees, ignored by slugs. We grew this batch from cuttings in March — three sizes available.
Open every day we are. Breakfasts till 11, sandwiches and salads through lunch, and homemade cake all afternoon. Dogs welcome on the terrace. Strollers welcome inside.
Most workshops are free if you bring something to pot. Book a place by ringing the office — they fill up fast in spring.
"Been coming here for fifteen years. The plants are always healthier than the supermarkets, the staff actually know what they're talking about, and you can have a proper chat. My garden owes them quite a lot."
Plenty of free parking. Wheelchair-friendly paths through the whole nursery. Bring a trolley — we have plenty if you forget yours.
