Walls so smooth
they look poured.
A small Bristol plastering studio working in modern skim, traditional lime and decorative polished finishes.
We are two plasterers, a labourer and a van. We take on one job at a time and we finish it before we start the next. Most of our work is in Clifton, Bedminster and the BS villages — terraced houses, period flats, the occasional new build, and a handful of listed buildings each year.
We hold a City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced in Heritage Skills and sit on the SPAB Lime Plastering panel. Practically, that means we know which lime goes on which wall, and we won't skim cement over the top of horsehair lath because it's quicker.
Five finishes, one wall at a time.
Skim Finishes
Multi-finish plaster skim on new builds and refurbs. Flat, true, ready for paint.
Lime Plastering
Hot-mixed lime for solid wall, period and listed properties. Breathable, traditional.
Venetian Polished
Authentic Marmorino and stucco veneziano. Honed to a deep, soft sheen.
Lath & Plaster
Restoration of horsehair lath ceilings and walls. Faithful, conservation-grade.
Coving & Cornices
Run-in-situ and pre-formed plasterwork. Egg-and-dart, dentil, plain ovolo.
Wonky walls, made flat.
A selection of finishes from the last eighteen months — skim, lime, polished plaster and one ceiling rose restored from a single surviving fragment.

“The skim finish is the flattest I've had in twenty years of doing up old houses. You can run your hand the length of the wall and feel nothing. Worth every penny.”
Come and look at the wall
— we'll tell you what it needs.
Most jobs start with a quiet half-hour on site. We look at the wall, the substrate, the light it sits in, and tell you straight what finish suits and what it will cost. No theatrics, no upsell, no quote written before we've seen the room.
