Subtle results.
From a nurse.
Not a beautician
with a needle.
A small, clinical aesthetics practice on Grove Street, run by a registered nurse with seven years on the wards before she ever picked up a syringe. Botox, filler, skin — done properly, done quietly, done by someone who could prescribe the medicine before she could inject it.

NMC Pin Held
The needle is
the easy bit.
The medicine isn't.
In the UK, anyone can legally inject filler after a weekend course. Toxin is a prescription-only medicine — which means it must be prescribed by a registered medical professional after assessing the patient in person. Many high-street clinics get around this with remote prescribers who never meet you. We don't. The nurse who treats you is the one who prescribes for you.
Medical training, not a weekend course
Seven years on hospital wards before aesthetics. We understand anatomy, contraindications, and what to do if something rare goes wrong — because we've done it.
Prescriber, not a pass-through
Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine. Your nurse assesses you, prescribes for you, and treats you — all in the same appointment, in the same room. No remote sign-off.
JCCP & CQC standards
Registered on the JCCP voluntary register and following Care Quality Commission standards for cleanliness, consent and complications. We hold full medical indemnity insurance.
Subtle is the brief
We're not trying to give you a different face — just a slightly more rested version of the one you have. If you want frozen or over-filled, we're probably not your clinic.
Five things,
done properly.
We don't offer threads, body contouring, laser hair removal or any of the dozens of treatments other clinics bolt on. Five treatments. Done by someone who does them every day.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatments (Botox)
Forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet. Botulinum toxin, prescribed and administered in the same appointment by a registered nurse prescriber. Two-week review and free top-up included.
Dermal Filler
Lips, cheeks, tear-troughs and jaw definition. Hyaluronic-acid based, reversible with hyaluronidase if needed (we keep it in clinic). Cannula technique used wherever clinically appropriate.
Skin Consultations
Fifteen minutes, free, no obligation. We'll look at your skin in clinical lighting, talk about concerns, and recommend a route forward — even if that route is moisturiser and SPF rather than treatment.
Chemical Peels
Medical-grade peels for tone, texture and glow. Suited to pigmentation, fine lines and acne scarring. Course of three usually recommended, spaced 3–4 weeks apart.
Polynucleotides
Purified DNA fragments injected to stimulate fibroblast activity and collagen. Subtle, cumulative results over a 3-session course. Excellent under the eyes.
Every price,
on the website.
Most aesthetic clinics ask you to ring for prices. We list everything. If we can't tell you what something costs before you book, we shouldn't be charging for it.
A slow,
clinical
process.
We see eight clients a day, maximum. Each appointment is given the time it needs. You will never be processed in fifteen minutes. We'd rather you leave without treatment than with the wrong one.
Free 15-min consultation
We sit down, talk about what's bothering you, and what realistically can be done. No pressure to book.
Medical history & consent
A proper review of your health, medications and expectations. We may decline to treat — and we'll explain why.
Treatment in the clinic
Usually 30–45 minutes. Topical anaesthetic where needed. You'll leave with written aftercare.
Two-week review
Anti-wrinkle review and any free top-up included. Filler review at 4 weeks. We don't disappear after.

A single treatment room.
Above the bookshop on Grove Street.
No waiting room full of other clients. No background chatter. Just one quiet, clinical room with proper medical lighting, sterilised instruments, and a single appointment in progress at any time.
We deliberately don't run a before-and-after gallery on the website. Patient consent is too easily blurred online, and good aesthetics work is — by design — the kind you don't notice. If you'd like to see anonymised examples in person, ask at your consultation.
Every photograph in our records is taken with written, dated, treatment-specific consent. We do not share patient images on social media. We do not use real client photos in advertising.

Imogen Hardcastle, RN.
Imogen qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2017 and spent four years on acute medical wards at Wythenshawe Hospital before moving into a vascular access role at the Christie. She trained in aesthetic medicine through the Harley Academy in 2022 and now treats full-time from the Wilmslow clinic.
She is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), holds the V300 independent prescriber qualification, and is on the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) voluntary register for non-surgical practitioners. Full medical indemnity through Hamilton Fraser.
I'd been to a beautician before and ended up looking startled for three months. With Lucent it just looks like I've slept properly. Nobody asks if I've had anything done — they ask if I've been on holiday.
I was nervous about lip filler because I didn't want the duck look. The nurse talked me down from 1ml to half — and she was right. Honest advice is rare in this industry.
Came in for tear-trough filler after my GP said the dark circles weren't medical. Subtle, slow, and properly explained. Worth every penny.
The questions everyone asks.
Will it hurt?
Anti-wrinkle injections feel like a small pinch. Filler is done with topical numbing cream and, for most areas, a blunt cannula rather than a needle. Most clients describe it as uncomfortable rather than painful.
How long will it last?
Anti-wrinkle treatments last 3–4 months. Lip and cheek filler last 9–18 months depending on the area and product. Polynucleotides build over a course.
What if I don't like it?
Filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase — we hold this in clinic for emergency reversal. Anti-wrinkle wears off naturally. We won't over-treat you on the first appointment.
Are you regulated?
Yes. Registered on the JCCP voluntary register, NMC pin held, fully insured, and following CQC standards. All toxin is UK-licensed and prescribed in person.
Start with a
conversation.
The first fifteen minutes are free. We'll sit down, look at what's bothering you, and tell you honestly what we'd recommend — even if that's nothing at all.
